Women's world
There are more women and girls living with HIV than men.
In African communities women are traditionally the primary carers of sick family members even though they are most likely also to be living with HIV.
Yet the decisions around when sex happens, usually lies with our male partners. As women and girls we are all too often unable to determine what kind of sex happens.
That's why it's important that we gain the skills and confidence to negotiate safer sex, so that we have better control over our sexual health. That way, we'll be able to make healthy sexual health choices for ourselves and our partners.
